A really complete expression of the central Rheingau in dry riesling that glides over your palate, revealing a slew of yellow apple, crisp pear, Amalfi lemon and lemon blossom notes. Long, very elegant and finely nuanced in the long finish. Racy, compact and flinty, this bone-dry, powerful yet only medium-bodied dry riesling shows enormous depth at the self-confidently austere finish. Needs some time to give its best. What a stunning nose of stone fruit with very complex spicy nuances. Great concentration, but also graceful on the medium-bodied palate. Extremely long and silky finish that’s really compelling. This great dry Mosel has a striking nose of persimmons and smoke. Compact and elegant (a rare combination) on the graceful and cool medium-bodied palate. Highly structured, but that only shows itself at the very long, stony finish with its sharply defined contours. Still a bit closed. Drinkable from release, but best from 2026.

This great dry Rheingau masterpiece is still very young, it’s power and concentration clearly perceptible, but the aromatic and mineral complexity is only just beginning to show itself. And in spite of this it remains medium-bodied. With aeration in the glass, the dried flower and candied orange aromas slowly open up. Incredibly long, structured finish. Drinkable from release, but best from 2026.
