2022 Morschberg GG VDP.Grosse Lage
Rating: 90
Drink Date: 2024 - 2032
The Geisenheim Riesling 2022 Morschberg GG VDP.Grosse Lage offers a pure and pretty austere bouquet of ripe and concentrated apricots, milled hazelnuts and crushed rocks. Round and elegant on the palate, with dense fruit and ripe acidity, this is a tight and balanced dry Riesling with a slightly dry, austere and slightly tannic finish. Coming from a pretty dry year, I doubt the wine is made to age that long. It lacks a bit of juiciness and generosity. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2024.
