Harvest report Rheingau Estate 2008

Growing season: The conditions of growth for the vines had been ideal in 2008. The shoot in the end of april and the florescence in the beginning of june had been 2 weeks before the longtime average. Rainfall between june and august made the vines on the steep slopes grow without any drought stress. The beginning of the grape ripening is dated around the 10th of august. Cool nighttime temperatures during fall made a long harvest ( from the end of september until the end of october) possible.
