In the current issue of the VivArt - Magazine for Culture and Lifestyle (Spring 2019, No. 29), the special address for matured Rieslings - the Weingüter Wegeler - is reported and a philosophy is presented that rediscovers wine maturing again. German wines were more expensive than the greatest Bordeaux wines more than 100 years ago. The central thesis is that German wines were so expensive at that time because they were drunk after a long maturation period of more than one up to many, many decades. German wines,  especially Riesling wines, were qualitatively unique due to their age!
