Wehlener Sonnenuhr
General information: The vineyard site Wehlener Sonnenuhr produces wines with subtle fruit and aromas of apricot, peach and grapefruit. The racy acidity supports the longevity of the wines.
History: In 1845, Jodocus Prüm had the sundial built on a rock in the Lammerterlay. The now famous clock dial was meant to be a timepiece for the vineyard workers.
Soil: Rocky weathered slate
Orientation: South - Southwest, with a gradient up to 70%
Vines: Riesling, average age circa 80 years
